Thermoguard Flame Retardant Topcoat is a solvent based, durable and weather resistant flame retardant paint used to decorate and complete the Thermoguard fire protection upgrade system. Suitable for use on steel and iron surfaces.
With an appropriate intumescent primer, the Thermoguard Thermocoat Topcoat can provide up to 120 minutes fire resistance. This flame retardant paint can be applied over the Thermocoat WI, Thermocoat WO and Thermocoat S intumescent paint.
Tested to BS76 Part 7, Class 1 surface spread to flame and BS76 Part 6, fire propogation. Designed Class 0 in accordance with U.K. Building Regulations.
Apply with a brush, roller or as a spray to a dry and clean surface. To maintain an existing fire rating apply 1 coat of the fire retardant paint over a similar colour and 2 coats for contrasting colours and external applications. This Flame Retardant Topcoat requires 6 hours to touch dry, 12 hours for recoating and 5 days to fully dry.
