Mann Mcgowan Pyroglaze 60 dry glazing intumescent strip provides 60 minute fire protection for fire resisting doors, screens and partitions. Suitable for both internal and external applications to create a glazing system.
This semi-rigid PVC encapsulated a high performance intumescent core that will swell when subjected to a fire, providing an effective seal within the glazing pocket and reducing the risk of premature ignition of glazing beads on the protected face.
This intumescent glazing strip is supplied with a self-adhesive tape for a quick, easy and clean installation between a fire resisting glass and untreated timber glazing beads. When constructing glazed screens, all timber must have a minimum density of 650kg/m3 and a moisture content of approximately 10%. Glazing beads should be secured using either 50mm long steel screws at 200mm centres or 60mm lost head pins at 100mm centres. In both cases the fixings should be splayed to pass under the glass.
Suitable for any size or shaped door and glazed screen. For external applications the glazing should be capped to ensure the system is sealed against climatic conditions (Please refer to BS 8000). When used in conjunction with FD60 doors all glazed apertures should be fully in line with Pyrostrip 52mm x 2mm 100ECSA, prior to fixing the glazing beads. Available as separate component or as part of a complete glazed system.
The Pyroglaze 60 fire resistant glazing strip has been successfully fire tested in accordance with BS 476 Part 22. Tested in conjunction with a wide variety of glasses to include both integrity (E) and integrity/insulation (EI) glass types. Successfully assessed by numerous UK and international testing centres including Warrington UK, Warrington Hong Kong, Warrington Singapore and International Fire Consultants (IFCCAD System).
Pyrostrip is available in a 25x3mm or a 25x4mm strip size and in a 2100mm length as standard. Available in either a white, brown, black or cream colour. Non-standard colours and lengths up to 3000mm available on request. Please call or email Firewise at +44 (0) 1223 839 727 or [email protected].
