The Firechief Wireless Smoke Alarm is fitted with an ultimate intelligent wireless interlink technology and unique X-Profile detection chamber controlled by bespoke software.
This wireless smoke alarm uses a photo-electric detection method, which is effective at detecting larger particles of smoke and more responsive to fire’s that begin with a long period of smouldering. It contains a pulsed infrared LED, which pulses a beam of light into the sensor chamber every 10 seconds to check for smoke particles.
Wireless smoke alarms are interlinked through radio-frequency signals. If one smoke alarm detects fire, all alarms go off. This smoke detector is battery operated, therefore it doesn’t require any wiring. Supplied with a sealed-in long life batteries. Easy to install and use with simple connection.
This wireless smoke detector is equipped with an end of alarm life indicator and silence button, ideal for non-emergency situations (nuisance alarms). It has also a silence ‘low battery warning chirp’ function for up to 10 hours. The alarm also maintains continuous protection during sleeping hours.
The Firechief Wireless Smoke Alarm has been BSI Kitemark certified to BS EN 14604:2005 and has a 7 year guarantee with 10 year alarm life.
