Burning paper and liquids that are put through mail apertures in doors and walls can have devastating consequences, especially if a premises is occupied. However, a flexible firebag can protect mail slots, so homes and businesses can have the confidence that their premises are guarded against damaging and disruptive arson attacks.
The Envirograf internal flexible fire retardant letterbox bag is the perfect solution, as it can be used for areas with vulnerability to arson or vandalism attacks. The flexible fire bag fits onto the back of the door or wall (optional rigid spout for metal boxes). If combustible items are dropped into and ignited in the box they are extinguished by the intumescent material, which can be easily renewed. The flexible fire containment bag is for use where doors open tightly against walls and the doors need to be opened wide.
The flexible fire retardant letterbox bag features an oversized letter box opening to fit over the existing internal openings or flaps. The product is supplied with a small tube of Fire Proof Silicone to seal the letterbox, which can either be squeezed over the external plate or around the internal side of the door, around the letter box opening. Open the lid by turning the clips and separating the Velcro tape. There are two holes at either end of the metal plate, simply screw to the door with the screws supplied. Spouts up to 300mm long can be fitted to pass through walls.
The letterbox fire bag has been Tested to BS 476 Part 22.
Flush locks are included in the price. The anti arson letterbox cover/bag is supplied in three standard colours: black, brown, and white (other colours available at extra cost).
