The Framemaster Intumescent Letterbox is a 12 inch letterplate, that includes the trademarked anti-vandal facility. The anti-vandal feature created due to outward facing brushes, means that unwanted items cannot be placed into the cavity which is a feature no other letterplate in the industry has. Outward facing brushes also provide better draught proofing and make it easier to post letters through.
This fireproof letterbox can also provide up to 1 hour of fire protection, has a scratch resistant surface and a galvanised steel frame which protects the brushes from rust. Featuring an internal water seal also prevents water getting into the door or panel, which stops letters getting wet as they are posted through, and also helps to prevent the flaps from pitting or rusting. Water channels carry rain water away from the post and harmlessly down the sides of the letterplate. It also has an ability to open 180° which means it will not snap off when opened too far. Ultra-flexible springs can withstand the letterbox flap opening thousands of times without breaking.
Fast and easy to fix. Fit the letterplate with the brushes facing to the outside. Fit the inner half of the letterplate using 4 of the screws, fit the outer half using the 4 washers and four remaining screws. Revolutionary Patent pending self-aligning screw boss makes screwing the inner and outer frames together easy. Matt finished plastic frame conceals any scratches that may be caused by screwdrivers during installation. Blind bolts to the exterior prevents the outer frame being unscrewed from the door from the outside.
Conforms to many standards and testing requirements including BS EN 1303:2005 and BS EN 13724:2013.
Available in four standard finishes: white, silver, gold and MPSS. This fire rated letterbox suits aperture size 248mm x 42mm with overall size 305mm x 65mm. It can also be supplied with a security cowl to obstruct external viewing, prevent manipulation of locks and inhibit vandalism.
